The wedding of Helen and David at The Lion Quays Hotel and Spa Oswestry proved to be a beautiful autumnal day. After the unseasonable warm weather of late, the previous week had been rather cold and wet, but today proved to be fairly mild with no heavy rain.
The day started at Helens house, the groom had left a bottle of perfume and a card with a romatic sentiment which we captured as part of the bridal preperations. Helen was calm and ready to enjoy her day, with plenty of lighthearted chatter whilst getting ready. At 10am Helen couldn’t believe in just one hours time she was to be Mrs Millett!
At the church David and his best man were waiting the arrival of the bride. A few shots in the wooded gardens of the church before David went inside to await his brides arrival.
The ceremony was lovely with a reading given during the service taken by a wonderful lady vicar. Traditional family shots at the Church, before the wedding party left for the reception at The Lion Quays. As the weather was favourable, we took advatage of some great shots in the beautiful landscaped gardens and down by the canal side, before going indoors for the staged cutting of the cake. Speeches followed the meal then a short break for me before returning to photograph the evening guests and first dance – Queen You’re My Best Friend was the chosen track for this.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Millett, looking forward to creating your special album to remember those moments from your wedding day.
