This weekends wedding starting with Gwesty Bodidris, Wrexham. This is the first time back at this hotel since it has been sold.
The day began with bridal preparations before I went to meet Shawn at Gwesty Bodidris. The weather was not in our favour today with some heavy showers at times.
Naomi and her Dad arrived during one of these heavy downpours, so umberellas were on hand to ensure the bride stayed dry before she went into the ceremony room to meet her husband to be. The ceremony room was beautiful, an almost castle feel inside – very warm and welcoming. The ceremony was captured beautifully and after the signing of the register the bride and groom were not going to let the weather spoil their day – so outside we went with umberellas for some fantastic shots in the grounds of this stately home.
We then headed up to the bridal suite and we got some stunning photographs using natural lighting at the windows of the room overlooking the gardens.
A break in the rain, and the guests and staff at the hotel were quick to ensure we all got outside to get some of those important outsoor shots including the confetti and full group shots.
The room was now ready for the wedding breakfast, so i captured the speeches before leaving the newly weds to relax with their guests. I returned a little later to capture the evening guests and reception in a less formal manner. Naomi had worried all day about her first dance, and as the DJ announced for all guest to await the first dance, Naomi and Shawn entered the room with their two beautiful young sons in arms with BEST MAN on their little shirts and gave the guests a first dance with a difference – a beautiful family dance. Absolutely perfect and summed up the family feeling in the room.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Davies, you were a wonderful couple to photograph and I look forward to creating your wonderful wedding album.
I would also like to mention the staff at Gwesty Bodidris – they were absolutely brilliant and helped the day go exceptionally well. Smiles and helpfulness were in abundance throughout the day and made everyone feel at ease. I am happy to be providing some shots from this wedding for Gwest Bodidris new wedding brochure and I look forward to working there as it was one of the best hotels I have worked at. Well done – keep up the good work!
A lovely mesage from Naomi & Shawn when they viewed their images on-line:
‘Hi Graham We’ve just looked at photos on the client area, they are fab, yet to look at the disk. We were so pleased and glad to have had you as our photographer, you made our day. Thank you very much. Mr & Mrs Davies.xx’
and from one of their guests;
It was a fantastic day! They both want to say a HUGE thank you to you for your hard work! You were brilliant!!
