Ellesmere Wedding Photography – Jackie & Darrell at Mary Magdalene Church, Penley

Todays wedding was at Penley, a small village between Whitchurch and Wrexham, just a little way from Ellesmere. The morning began at Jackie & Darrell’s home taking some photographs of the bridal preparations, before I left to meet up with Darrell at the church. We captured the groom and best man waiting for the brides arrival.
The bride only had a short distance to travel as they live near to the Church, but she arrived in style – the car had been restored by Jackie’s Dad especially for this day after being stored in a garage waiting his daughters marrage. The ceremony went well, the vicar was very comical, helping to make the couple relaxed and all the guests really enjoyed his take on the wedding vows. It was then a case of dodging the showers to get some outdoor photographs done. We managed this quite well, working indoors while it rained and them going back out when it dried up. As they had a smaller more intimate wedding, the reception was held at The White Horse Inn at Overton, so we took the opportunity to go to the local park to get some shots with the couple and the car. I stayed back a while to capture Darrell’s speech before leaving them to enjoy the company of their friends and relatives and the rest of their weding day. Congratulations Jackie & Darrell and thank you for letting us share your special day. Look forward to building your album for you.
