Cross Lanes Hotel Wrexham – Wedding photography of James and Victoria

Even Hurricane Katia couldn’t spoil todays wedding for Victoria and James! The worst storm in 15 years but still a perfect day for our happy couple!
Bridal preparations was a giggly affair, was it nerves or excitement – whatever it was it enabled some beautiful natural shots of Victoria getting ready. St Mary’s at Dudleston near Ellesmere was their chosen church so I met James and the rest of the grooms men and guests there for some pre ceremony shots. Victoria arrived in a camper van decorated with beautiful floral arrangements. Even with the gusty wind we still got some brilliant shots going into the church. The ceremony went off without any hitches and another great vicar to work with, ensuring Victoria and James enjoyed this very special part of their day. James and Victoria left in the camper van for the wedding reception at the Cross Lanes Country Hotel, Wrexham. The gardens at the hotel were a perfect backdrop for their wedding images and again we worked well despite the sudden gusts of wind. A full group shot was achieved with me climbing through one of the bedroom windows on to the flat roof of the hotel. A bit hair-raising in the winds – but perfect results and worth the climb! The speeches were entertaining and we got some great shots of bride and groom laughing to comments made. With only two hours before the evening coverage starting I went off site to check all equipment before returning to start the next part of their weding day. All guests were enjoying themselves and the first dance was again a romantic one with bride and groom singing to each other whilst swaying in each others arms. Congratulations James and Victoria, we look forward to meeting up again soon to choose your album images for me to design your keepsake of your wonderful day. Thank you for letting us share it with you.
