Bryn Howel Hotel, Llangollen – wedding photography Laura & Nick

What a difference in weather for the second of this weeks weddings. Rain had decided to make its arrival, but this did not dampen the atmosphere for Laura and Nick. The day began at the bridal preparations with Laura, her bridesmaids and their two lovely children who were beautiful pageboy and bridesmaid for their parents. Off then to St Mary The Virgin Church in Overton to meet up with the lads for a few shots before the arrival of the bride. Some candid shots of the bridal party arriving, before heading inside another beautiful church to take up my position for capturing the ceremony. After the signing of the register, we took a few traditional shots between the rain showers before heading on to Llangollen and the Bryn Howel Hotel.

With the weather not at its best we worked in between the showers, capturing shots both inside and outside the hotel, ensuring we had plenty of beautiful images of the bride and groom on their wedding day. We worked in the garden suite which is a glass room overlooking the gardens to get the group shots we needed, as it was too wet for the guests to go out doors. The shots look great with the fantastic view behind them. we also made use of the bridal suite and got some lovely romantic shots of Laura and Nick together.

Whilst they enjoyed some time with their guests I photographed the breakfast room set up and then joined up with them again as they enjoyed the speeches made by their family and friends – and of course the groom! The atmosphere was brilliant and despite the weather the day was going fantastically well. Laura and Nick decided to cut the cake after the speeches and after capturing this traditional shot, I left them to enjoy their time with their guests.

Returning for the evening reception, we captured the guests in a less formal manner and then awaited Laura and Nicks first dance as husband and wife which concluded our coverage for the day as we left the guest partying on into the night.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Jones and I look forward to preparing your pre-view disc for you in the next couple of weeks!
